St. Brigid’s Episcopal Church, Rio Vista Summary of the minutes of Mission Committee meeting Sunday, October 18th, 2009 Location: St Brigid’s Start time: 12 noon. Attendance: Warden Owen Drury, Treasurer Chandra Drury, Worship/Altar Guild Carol Dugger, Clerk Pat Akers, members at large Connie Ludwig, Laura Delaney, Debbie McNamara.  Nonvoting Deacon Susan Reeve. Also Thelma Martin, who provided childcare. The detailed minutes are in the minute book as recorded by Pat Akers.  The book is kept at Hunter Hall. Topics covered at meeting: Warden’s report: Lease, heaters for wintertime, insurance policy, signage, city building inspector’s inquiries, curtains, stained glass panel. Treasurer’s report: Documents were circulated. We average $1,000.00 income per month. Discussion of checking account balances, CDs, pledges from members in 2010, fundraiser in Spring, such as Trilogy Crafts Faire.  A good idea to have a meeting for planning. Altar guild and worship report: Hospitality working well. Prayer Tree needs more volunteers.   Altar guild has revised procedures and roster.  Donna Harris and grace Bos pick music.  Grace is backed up by Jenny Lindsay.  Need more people involved with refreshments, flowers and linens. Outreach: Free will offering to diocese.  Children’s clothing exchange. Diabetes Walk Team. Clothes to Mexican typhoon victims - 12 bags. Clothes to Early Start program in Fairfield - 8 bags. Deacon’s report: Roof is dry after storms. Discretionary fund report. Forthcoming diocesan convention Closing prayer by Deacon Susan.
