Book Study Group
		Greetings: I invite you to join me to share the insights in the book A TREE FULL OF ANGELS by Sister Macrina Wiederkehr, of the Order of St. Benedict.  The topic is "Lectio Divina", a prayerful form of reading Scripture, explained and practiced through the lens of a mature woman's personal soul searching.  Sr Macrina is an experienced spiritual guide and has written numerous books and poems.   There is a marvellous CD of her poetry set to music that we can enjoy together.  There is a website www.macrinawiederkehr.com - I urge you to explore it.  Also, her blog is http://macrina-underthesycamoretree.blogspot.com  Gentleness, joy, hope, silent prayer, nourishing words on the page and in the ear, these are the hallmarks of Sister Macrina's spirituality.  This is not a newly published book, not especially "cutting edge"; it is a modern classic.   All who seek to know Christ and to be known by Him are welcome.  Join me Thursday mornings at 10 (January 7, 14, 21, 28) for an hour of study and fellowship.
